2010 Hunting Update

2009 was a great year at the Murphy Ranch, maybe even our best year yet. Size and quantity of animals were up significantly. Our Success rate for elk moved back over the 90% mark, like it had been from 1999 to 2007. We harvested quite a few trophy sized mule deer and our antelope proved to be very nice.

I am writing this update January 3rd 2010. So far, we are having a mild winter. We are getting the snows needed in the high country, for a good jump on spring moisture. The deer and elk herds are looking good, and haven't been under a lot of stress. If the improvement seen in 2009 is any indication for next year, then 2010 should be very good.
